Church is exempt from ADA laws.
The secular world is increasingly accessible due to ADA and FCC mandates. Many people are using
CART and captioning in the secular world of business meetings, classrooms, and
entertainment.
How does that affect people who need access to the
church, and how do they respond when they are not included and unable to
‘fully, actively and consciously’ participate in the life of the church?
90% of those with any form of hearing loss do not
attend church because it is not accessible.
